When I think of Temple Bar normally, I am frightened for reasons such as the smell of alcohol, the debauchery and well... The wetness of the tiles can be detrimental to your looks after a few scoops!
Tonight however, I'm not terrified at all. No, I've been absolutely HORRIFIED!
Spookily known as 'Number 11', the Temple Bar House of Horrors opened tonight and I got to be one of the very first people to have my wits rattled and strained out of me! The house was previously home to a devious doctor and his troubled wife and there are spooks who still haunt its walls...
Everything about the house keeps you on edge; from the dimly lit lobby on the ground floor, to other bits and pieces I'll leave out for now (I'm not peddling spoilers) and there are parts that are genuinely creepy.
In short, the House of Horrors is a tour around a 17th century building full of scares and unexpected frights and I'm not even slightly ashamed to say I grabbed onto a complete stranger for dear life at the end.
Coming up to Halloween, this is the perfect time to grab a few mates and have a few laughs (in between the screams). It's only €15 per person but it's worth it! Pop into Temple Bar House of Horrors and tell them I sent you!
