Well it's been a fun year in so many ways and picking out highlights in a top ten style post was never going to be easy, so instead I've broken that down into a series of posts! Here we go!
I've got a golden ticket to travel around Ireland!
Starting with one highlight that started back in March and continued the whole way through the year is my ongoing collaboration with JJ Kavanagh! I was ever so lucky to meet Laura Kavanagh while curating the Ireland Twitter account (If you haven't heard of it, go and follow it and the eclectic array of curators). Laura and I met up and immediately hit it off! She told me about the history of the company and it is everything I love about a business; it is family run and everyone who works for them is made to feel a part of the family!
On telly with the Kavanaghs and the minister for transport
My trips with JJ Kavanagh have taken me outside my comfort zone of Dublin and into the true beauty of Ireland! I've had a chance to meet amazing characters, see beautiful places I would never have visited and write about my experiences on the JJ Kavanagh website! Throw into the mix meeting the Minister for Transport, Paschal Donohoe, getting on the telly and the radio; most notably on the TUBRIDY show!!!

Needless to say, working alongside JJ Kavanagh has opened lots of doors, both literally and figuratively and it all came about from a chance meeting online after asking a question by chance... "How many places have you been in the world?" I never thought I'd be asked how many places I've been in Ireland! Most especially, I'm happy to know more about the country that I call home! From pub crawls in Clonmel to historical walks in Carlow; from craft markets in Kilkenny, to the Milk Market in Limerick; from falconry in Waterford to photo walks back home in Dublin; JJ Kavanagh has been a big highlight of my year with #TrailsOfIreland
