I'm not the biggest fan of labels but if there's one that I genuinely like, it's English brand Hype and they're back with a limited edition collection that's got me trembling on a Sunday evening...
I first came across Hype and its eclectic collections on the high street in Topman and loved how bold they were and how they stood out in store. However it was only when I popped into their store in Boxpark, Shoreditch that I really got to see what they were all about. As well as being genuine authentic, the brand just radiates cool... The store attendant is a keen skateboarder and the store has got this minimal, yet eclectic aesthetic that you don't really want to leave behind.
What I really loved and perhaps got a little too excited about was their wicked collaboration with the notoriously selective Simpsons brand. The design team managed to fuse the essence of the iconic Simpsons universe into a one off collection and needless to say, I fanboyed my way around the store pretty much buying anything I could find in my size! My favorite piece is this right here and I love when people say, "oh I recognize that fish from the Simpsons"... Of course you do 😉
Well yesterday I found out that a brand new collaboration that looks just as good as, if not better than the Simpsons collection. People... HYPE meets SpongeBob. I've had the SpongeBob theme song in my head all day and all I'm wishing for right now is for some nautical nonsense! The collection drops on Thursday in limited numbers so I'll be getting my 'refresh' finger ready 👍🏾🎈
